Alberto Vázquez (A Coruña, Espagne, 1980), est un réalisateur de films d’animation, illustrateur et dessinateur de BD. Il a écrit et réalisé les court métrages d’animation Birdboy, Unicorn Blood et Decorado. Ses films sont passés par de prestigieux festivals, comme Cannes, Toronto, Annecy, ou Cleront-Ferrand. Il a gagné plus de 100 prix, donc trois Goya. Après avoir réalisé son premier long métrage Psiconautas, basé sur le roman graphique éponyme  , il travaille sur son deuxième film, Unicorn Wars.

Alberto Vázquez is an animation director, illustrator and cartoonist. His books and comics have been published in countries like Spain, France, Italy, Brazil and Korea. His films have been exhibited in prestigious festivals worldwide as Cannes, Toronto, Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand, Animafest Zagreb or Slamdance and he has won over 100 awards in international events including the Goya for the Best Animated Short Film in 2012 and 2017. In 2015, he finished his first feature film “Psiconautas, The Forgotten Children”, based on his own graphic novel, and won the Goya for the Best Animated Feature Film.
