Alberto Vazquez (A coruña, Spain, 1980), is an animated film director, comic book illustrator and designer. He wrote and directed the animated shorts Birdboy, Unicorn Blood et Decorado. His films have gone through prestigious festivals, like Cannes, Toronto, Annecy, or Cleront-Ferrand. He won over 100 price, so three Goya. After directing his first feature film Psiconautas, based on the eponymous graphic novel , he is working on his second film, Unicorn Wars.

Alberto Vázquez is an animation director, illustrator and cartoonist. His books and comics have been published in countries like Spain, France, Italy, Brazil and Korea. His films have been exhibited in prestigious festivals worldwide as Cannes, Toronto, Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand, Animafest Zagreb or Slamdance and he has won over 100 awards in international events including the Goya for the Best Animated Short Film in 2012 and 2017. In 2015, he finished his first feature film “Psiconautas, The Forgotten Children”, based on his own graphic novel, and won the Goya for the Best Animated Feature Film.
